The Guardian of the Golden North
From the windswept shores of the ancient Bosporan Kingdom comes this extraordinary pendant an original coin struck in Pantikapaion around 340 BCE, where myth and trade met beneath the northern stars. A sanctuary of Dionysian rites and Black Sea riches, Pantikapaion was a gateway between civilizations and this coin a testament to the region's wild majesty.
The obverse features the untamed face of Pan, the rustic god of mountains, fertility, and primal instinct. His features are fierce and windblown, crowned with ivy leaves, evoking the wild, ecstatic force of nature itself. For a city born of both Greek spirit and Scythian terrain, Pan was the perfect divine guardian.
The reverse unleashes the image of a griffin a mythical beast with eagle's wings and lion's strength. Mouth clutching a spear and talons pinning a swordfish, this creature was said to protect Zeus's treasure hoards in the far North. Above its arched back, the ancient legend “ΠΑΝ” (PAN) marks its proud origin.
Framing the coin is a bold, sculptural bezel of solid 18K gold, each tooth-like ridge carved to echo the beast's bite. Set within this design are 24 natural sapphires 2 × 1mm, 1 × 1.1mm, and 21 × 1.3mm chosen for their deep, twilight glow, reflecting the stormy seas and mysteries that surrounded Pantikapaion's fabled port.
This piece is not merely an adornment, but a relic of wild myth powerful, protective, and fiercely alive.
